Akun mga maguyang di kami ginbaya-an
Kag ang akun mga paryiente nagbulig gid
Para kami tanan ng akun mga manghud
Makapaggraduar sa kolehiyo
Naghutuhot gid aku bisan mahuga sa eskwela
Ngani nyan maayu na ang amun kinabuhi
Bisan malayu man aku sa akun panimalay
Ara gihapun aku sa uras ng kalisud
Maski diin aku, nadumdum ku gid sinda tanan.
Kwarenta’y-uno na katuig ang nagligad
Madamu na ang akun naagihan na kalisud kag kalipay
Di gid nagbag-o ang akun batasan kag prinsipyo
Nakapati gid aku na si Hesus ay ara sa akun luyo
Palangga nya ang akun pamilya - nyan, buwas, o maski san-u man!
* * * * *
Kahit malayo man ako sa aking pamilya
Finding your True Talents thru Tickle.com December 8, 2006

I AM DELIGHTED TO KNOW that my personal career talents are: SPATIAL AND NUMERICAL ABILITIES after I did the Tickle.com (http://ww.tickle.com or www.tickle.com/tests ) on-line tests.
My first test with Tickle was an IQ test which I did very well having a score of 117. Luckily, I was able to get the results and a certificate ‘free of charge’!
For the past 40 years of my existence, I dont have any idea on how to verify my abilities and skills, and for me to improve them. In other words, I dont have a concrete evidence/proof (from a third party) that will show that Im capable of doing things. What I know is that I can do anything in any circumstances… some people will always say to me… "Jack of all trades".
But having the Tickle test, I could really identify what are my strenghts that really help me to survive and enjoy living; and my weaknesses that I need to focus - making them my future assets. Everyone wants to be perfect but it is impossible to do that… Some people did it very hard, but none of them succeed…
If you are interested to check your abilities, please have time to take the test. http://web.tickle.com/tests/talent/index_main.jsp or http://web.tickle.com/tests/talent/result.jsp?where=result&test=talentogt
It is not easy but it is worth doing it. If you want that the results will truly reflect yourself - who you are, then make an effort to sit down, relax, concentrate, have a pen and paper, and go… Good luck!
BRIEFLY, my test results explained below:

Your primary talent
Rey, your primary career talent is Spatial Ability. The ability to visualize objects in three-dimensional space can give you an unusual view of the world. You appear to understand how figures can be manipulated and take on new forms. Because of this talent, you can probably imagine new designs easily, including anything from floor plans to page layouts — and even 3D product prototypes. People like you are usually aces when it comes to putting together assemble-it-yourself furniture or other household items — whether the items arrive with instructions or not.
Your rare talent can make you less likely than most people to be content with the same old thing. As a result, in your work life you might enjoy focusing on visual innovation and proposing new ideas. Your ability to conceptualize objects in their completed form can make you a natural designer or engineer. Your spatial skills can also help you understand the finer points of how things work. Typically, new computer programs or specialized office equipment are no sweat to you. In a world where technology changes so rapidly, you may also find yourself rewarded for your ability to adapt.
Your secondary talent
Your secondary career talent is Numerical Ability. Whether you like them or not, you’re especially good with numbers. Most people who share your skills like the logic and consistency that numbers represent or appreciate that most numeric problems have cut-and-dried solutions. Your test results indicate that you’re not only good at calculations but also likely to understand how to use numbers to your advantage in life.
You’re the type of person who is wired to manage personal finances with ease. As a result, balancing your checkbook probably isn’t an all-day affair like it can be for some people. You’re also not typically one to be taken advantage of by wily salespeople offering you not-to-be-missed opportunities. Chances are that you’d be able to run the numbers on whatever nonsense they’re trying to sell you much faster than they could get you to sign on the dotted line. While other people’s heads might still be spinning, your talent could allow you to calmly see what the best deal really is. In this way, people who are skilled with numbers are rarely anyone’s fool.
In the work world, your numeric skill can be a benefit in a variety of ways. You might find that you’re a whiz at data analysis or talented at looking at your business’ budgets and profit-and-loss statements. Because numbers are at the heart of almost every business enterprise, your understanding of them can make you a valuable commodity. You see numbers as patterns and are able to apply your pattern-recognition abilities in other aspects of your life.
Making an effort to read others’ work December 8, 2006

THIS IS IN RELATION to my previous post on my passion - writing and reading…
It is quite an expensive hobby to read others people literary works (pocket books, mags, text books, etc.) but it is a priceless undertaking for individual like me to appreciate their talents in writing/story telling. Well after more than a year now in the UK, having the resources to acquire these materials, I have already collected more than 30 books (excluding photo magazines which I buy them monthly) of bestsellers writers both in the UK and US. This is not to include my collections in the Philippines which I have also been keeping for almost 5 years now from the time I started my passion in Australia. From time to time, I visit second hand bookstores, charity stores, on websites (like Amazon and Ebay) and even joined a group where I could exchange books with the members (http://www.bookcrossing.com) just to reduce my monthly expenses for books.
MY FAVOURITES vary from inspirational to suspense/horror stories. But most of the time, Im always attracted to suspense/horror/ and psyho plots. Initially, my desire to read really started when I was working in Bangkok after finishing my MSc degree in Urban Planning. One of my bosses, she encouraged me to read one of the novels written by Mary Higgins Clark, popularly known as the ‘queen of the suspense’. Unfortunately, I cant remember the title, but it was an excellent read. Since then I was hooked to read her other books.
Im an avid fan of Jeffrey Archer (Cane and Abel, Shall We Tell the President, False Impression, etc.), James Patterson (his popular character, Mr. Cross), Harlan Coben (with his athletic and goodlooking main cast, Mr. Bolitar), Dan Brown (all his works), and also with Stephen King( short stories only, and Cell) and Mary Higgins Clark!
To date, with my membership with dooyoo (www.dooyoo.ac.uk) I was able to post my reviews and some of them are as follows:
1. Marley and Me by John Grogan
2. The arrival of fergal flynn by Brian Kennedy

Lately, I am very very busy with my research which somehow hinders me to start with a new book. But hopefully this coming Christmas holiday, I will be able to read again…
EVEN THOUGH I cant grab a book this time, I have another passion to dwell on… my passion to watch live shows - The Musical. Since I was in college, I took the time to watch live shows and plays in the Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP), Meralco Theater, Shang-rila Plaza, and UP Film Center.
WHAT MAKES ME HOOKED with these productions are the music, backdraft, props, and of course the ‘cast’ itself. So far, I was able to watch Titanic -the musical (Northern Ireland), Miss Saigon (New York, Philippines, Northern Ireland). Footloose -the Musical (Philippines, Northern Ireland, History Boys (Northern Ireland), A Chorus Line (Thailand, San Francisco), They’re singing our Song (Philippines), Jesus Christ Superstar (Philippines). So, I will elaborate some of these excellent productions in my next article!
